Description of 3F Ground Spur Racks

A straight rack is the linear rack with tooth line vertical to the motion direction of the tooth.

The straight racks are mainly applied in industrial gantry robot, optical fiber laser cutting machine, glass cutting machine, plasma cutting machine, woodworking machinery industry, stone bridge cutting machine, printing machinery, automation machinery equipment and other transmission industries.

3F provides a variety of models and specifications of straight racks for selection. Customized service is available. 3F can produce racks according to different specifications from simple rack processing to racks in line with international standards. In addition, we also provide standard rack catalogue for customers to selection. At present, 3F spur racks can be made from modulus 0.3 to modulus 14. At the same time, there are also CP rack and DP rack. All the gear racks can be made of different kinds of materials. Different racks can be made of different steel materials. The most commonly used materials are S45C medium carbon steel, SCM Green Cross steel, SCM440 Red Cross steel, SUS stainless steel, and even plastic materials if customer needs.

3F ground gear rack is made of 42CrMo , which is much stronger than the racks that made of C45.  All the teeth of 3F gear racks are hardened and quenched which enable our racks more wear-resistant. All the gear racks are firstly get off strss annealing and then all the teeth suface will be  gound to get high precision.

Rack is a special kind of gear with teeth distributed on the rack body with teeth on only one side. You can take it as a segment of a gear with infinite diameter. Rack is normally used to work with pinion together acting as a kind of machine part used for transmission field. 3F famed gear racks are divided into two kinds. One is called straight rack or spur rack , and the other is called helical rack, which are used in pairs with straight or helical cylindrical pinions respectively. Generally, people call then “rack and pinion”.  When the pinion is active, the rotary motion can be changed into linear motion. When the rack is active, the linear motion can be changed into rotary motion.
