1、 Basic Overview

Definition: A micro gear reducer is a combination of a micro motor and a reduction device, which converts the high-speed rotation of the motor into low-speed high torque output through gear transmission.

2、 Working principle

The working principle of micro gear reducer is based on the principle of gear transmission, mainly including the following parts:

Motor part: The motor generates rotational force through the electrical energy provided by the power supply, driving the output shaft to rotate. The speed and torque of the motor are directly related to the input current and voltage.

Gearbox part: composed of housing, gears, bearings, input shaft, and output shaft. Speed ratio: determines the output speed and torque of the gearbox. The larger the speed ratio, the greater the output torque, and the lower the speed.

Torque: Related to the speed ratio, it represents the load capacity of the gearbox.

Voltage: The actual voltage at both ends of the gearbox during operation. The higher the voltage, the faster the speed, but excessive voltage may cause the motor to overheat or even burn out.

Gear series: The number of gear sets in a gear reducer. Increasing the gear series can increase the reduction ratio, but it will reduce efficiency.

Return clearance: The small angular displacement that occurs at the input end of the gearbox when generating rated torque.

Power: The maximum power that the reducer can operate normally at rated voltage.

Full load efficiency: The transmission efficiency of the gearbox under maximum load conditions.
