1、 Definition and Properties

Turbine reducer is a power transmission component that can be used in conjunction with ordinary motors, continuously variable transmissions, and other transmission products. It converts high-speed rotating input into low-speed output through the linkage of the turbine and gears, and increases torque in the process.

2、 Working principle

The core components of a turbine reducer are the turbine and gears. When high-speed fluid or gas passes through a turbine, it applies force to the turbine and causes it to start rotating. The rotational force of the turbine is transmitted to the first stage gear, and the force is transmitted through the tooth contact of the gear. As the gears are transmitted step by step, the speed gradually decreases while the torque gradually increases.

3、 Characteristics

High speed reduction ratio: Turbine reducers have excellent deceleration capabilities, usually with a reduction ratio of 10~80 or even higher, making them widely used in the field of industrial machinery.

High torque output: Thanks to the transmission mechanism of worm gear and worm gear, the turbine reducer can output a large torque, which is suitable for applications that require high torque output.

High stability: Due to the precise meshing between the worm gear and worm, the transmission ratio of the turbine reducer changes little, and the friction loss during the transmission process is also small, ensuring its high stability.

Relatively low efficiency: However, due to the transmission mechanism between the worm gear and worm gear, the efficiency of the turbine reducer is usually between 50% and 80%, which is also one of the reasons why its application range is limited to a certain extent.

Noise issue: Turbine reducers may generate significant noise during operation, so additional noise reduction measures may be necessary in situations where noise requirements are low.
